Faith in Action of Western Stark County will hold its 13th annual Senior Health, Wellness & Lifestyle Fair on Thursday, September 24 from 8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Massillon Recreation Center, 505 Erie St. North in Massillon. This year’s theme is “Stepping Into Fitness” and premier sponsors include Mercy Medical Center and Sprenger Health Care. Additional sponsors include Buckeye Health Plan, Attorney Glen Buttacavoli, Altercare, SARTA and The Inn at University Village.
With more vendors than ever, this FREE senior health fair will offer the popular chef cook-off (featuring chefs from local long term health care facilities), line dance classes, yoga presentations, free health screenings and basket raffles. Attendees will enjoy a FREE continental breakfast, samples from the chef cook-off as well as the keynote presentation, “Cooking For One”, sponsored and provided by Mercy Medical Center, at 9:30 a.m.
“Cooking For One” will help attendees discover simple tricks for shopping and cooking for just themselves and will include a cooking demonstration (featuring Mercy chefs), give-a-way items and a separate door prize drawing.

The Senior Health, Wellness & Lifestyle Fair serves as a fundraiser for Faith in Action (FIA) of Western Stark County. Through a network of faith communities with trained volunteers, FIA provides support, assistance, and education to both care receivers and care givers.
