North Canton, Ohio: As part of Mercy Medical Center’s commitment to the promotion of health and physical fitness in the community, Mercy Sports Medicine hosted its annual Mercy Health Run Classic on Saturday, May 14. Over 250 runners participated in the 5k road-race with the start and finish at Mercy Health Center of North Canton. Future runners participated in a free 0.6-mile kids fun run and received Mercy goody bags for crossing the finishing line.
The overall female winner was Diana Furey, of Malvern, with a time of 21:50.94, and the overall male winner was Steve Neading, of Strasburg, with a time of 18:23.96. Winner of the drawing for two AirTran tickets to anywhere they travel in the continental U.S. was North Canton resident Sarah Richards.
Mercy Health Run Classic is sponsored by Mercy Medical Center with support from Subway, Canton Chair Rental, Coca-Cola, Einstein Bros Bagels, Clearwater Systems and ChronoTrack Systems.
