Canton, Ohio: Mercy Medical Center once again served as co-sponsor for the annual Family Health Fair/Cover the Uninsured event, held at the Stark County District Library on April 9th from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Free and open to the community, Mercy offered individuals and families various health screenings including blood pressure checks, dental screenings, lung function, and blood draws for cholesterol and glucose. More than 20 community agencies and 12 Mercy Medical Center departments participated in the annual event. It is because of these organizations that many local families were able to receive important health screenings and vital medical information to take care of their health and well-being. The following Mercy Medical Center service lines participated in the event:
The Family Health Fair/Cover the Uninsured event is just one example of how Mercy Medical Center lives its mission every day to provide quality, compassionate, accessible and affordable care for the whole person while being responsive to the needs of the community.
