Canton, Ohio: Mercy Medical Center will present, “Why We are Number 1 in Heart Care” on Tuesday, November 9 at Meyer’s Lake Ballroom, 3218 Parkway St., NW, Canton, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Ahmed Sabe, M.D., Medical Director of Mercy Heart Center, will begin the event with “Do Minutes Matter?” Every second counts when receiving treatment during a heart attack or cardiac event. Immediate medical attention saves heart muscle, reduces infarct size, saves lives and can decrease the likelihood of a permanent disability. Dr. Sabe will explain why quick action is essential to saving lives.
Aqeel Sandhu, M.D., Medical Director of Mercy’s Cardiothoracic Surgery Program, will present, “Robotic Surgery vs. Traditional Heart Surgery: The Advantages and Disadvantages”. Dr. Sandhu will explain both types of procedures and answer the audience’s questions about available heart surgery options.
