Canton, Ohio: In response to requests from the community, Mercy Medical Center will offer a second “Welcome to Medicare” event on Thursday, May 2, starting at 6 p.m. in the Mercy Hall Auditorium. There is no cost to attend.
A representative from the Ohio Department of Insurance (ODI) Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) will be on site to discuss Medicare benefits, deadlines, advantage plans, supplemental health insurance and prescription drug coverage. In addition, the presentation will cover financial assistance programs that help pay for Medicare’s Part B premium and out-of-pocket expenses for prescription drug costs.
Lieutenant Governor and ODI Director Mary Taylor says, “This event can help Ohioans transitioning into Medicare better understand how the program works. In 2012 we saved consumers $5.5 million by helping them identify the coverage best suited for their needs.”
Seating is limited and reservations are required. Call 330-489-1333 or 1-800-223-8662 to reserve your seat.
