North Canton, Ohio: Approximately 75 percent of runners are injured each year. Most of these injures are caused by overuse and training errors. Mercy Sports Medicine is hosting a free Optimal Performance Series to show you how to avoid or effectively manage common running issues through proper training, injury management and nutrition techniques. Educational programs are offered from 6 to 7 p.m. every Tuesday, March 6 – April 24 at Mercy Health Center of North Canton.
Dave Downey, M.S., ATC/LAT, athletic trainer for Mercy Sports Medicine, will kick off the series with a program about Functional Movement Screening on March 6.
