North Canton, Ohio: Do you have a child who likes to golf? Mercy Sports Medicine and Arrowhead Golf Club are offering a six-week Junior Golf Camp for children ages six to 14 on Mondays, June 18 – July 23. Campers will meet from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Arrowhead Golf Club (formerly Fairways), located at 1500 Rogwin Circle, S.W. in North Canton.
Instructors Dave Downey, M.S., ATC/LAT, athletic trainer for Mercy Sports Medicine and Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certified golf fitness instructor, and Scott DeMeusy, PGA, director of golf at Arrowhead Golf Club, will help campers improve their golf skills including putting, chipping and full swing. Age appropriate fitness skills following TPI’s Long Term Athletic Development Program will also be taught to improve strength and power of the core and upper and lower body. Each week participants will receive 90-minutes of golf instruction and fitness drills.
