Themed “A Mod, Mod World,” this year’s Harvest Ball was considered an energetic and exciting evening of dining, dancing, fun and fellowship. The Harvest Ball is a highlight of Mercy Service League’s yearlong fundraising efforts and attracted more than 380 guests this year.
“Harvest Ball celebrates the continuing mission of Mercy Medical Center and contributes to the health of our community by supporting Mercy General Practice Dental Residency Endowment Fund,” Carpenter said. “I am grateful to everyone for their support of this event as Mercy strives to meet the community’s number one unmet health care need – comprehensive dental care.”

Mercy General Practice Dental Residency Endowment Fund:
The General Practice Dental Residency Endowment Fund began in 2010 through the generosity of the Stark County Dental Society in commemoration its 100th anniversary. The immediate purpose of the Fund is to help defray the expense associated with the General Practice Dental Residency Program not covered through routine operating expenses and revenues while making major contributions to the health care of the region, the State of Ohio and the nation.
Established in 2007 on the hospital’s main campus, Mercy Dental Services & General Practice Dental Residency program addresses the community’s number one unmet healthcare need – comprehensive dental care. Mercy Dental Services offers a broad range of multi-specialty preventative, cosmetic and restorative dental services for the entire family, in a state-of-the-art facility unmatched by any other in our area. Staffed by qualified general dentists and oral specialists, the program features a post-doctoral dental residency training program that provides oral health care to all types of patients, with an emphasis on those with complex medical conditions. The General Practice Dental Residency Endowment Fund allows us to continue to provide top-notch dental care to the poor and underserved in our community.
