New Philadelphia, Ohio: Did you know that more than one third of adults 65 and older fall each year in the United States? Furthermore, for older adults, falls are the leading cause of injury deaths and are the most common cause of nonfatal injuries and hospital admissions for trauma. The Physical Therapy department at Mercy Health Center of Tuscarawas County will be providing FREE screenings for fall prevention and balance checks in addition to grip testing for strength.
These beneficial screenings will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon at New Towne Mall, 400 Mill Ave SE, New Philadelphia, on Tuesday, April 6th. No appointment is necessary, and the screenings are open to people of all ages.
