Mercy Medical Center is presenting a free community education program on Wednesday, January 20th, featuring Dr. Danielle Kiko, OBGYN, at 6 p.m. in Mercy Health Center of Jackson. Dr. Kiko will discuss robotic GYN surgery as well as the issues of:
- Abnormal Female Bleeding Patterns
- Hereditary Gynecologic Cancer
- Current Pap Smear Screening Guidelines
For complex hysterectomies and other gynecologic procedures, robot-assisted surgery at Mercy Medical Center may be the most effective, least invasive treatment option. Through tiny, 1-2 cm incisions, Mercy surgeons, using robotic-assisted surgery, can operate with greater precision and control, minimizing the pain and risk associated with large incisions while increasing the likelihood of a fast recovery and excellent clinical outcomes. Patients choosing robotic- assisted surgery can normally look forward to:
- A faster recovery and return to normal activities
- A shorter hospital stay
- Reduced blood loss and risk of infection
- Significantly less pain and a shorter hospital stay
Free and open to the community, attend this program to learn about robotic surgery and if it is an option for you. Refreshments will be will be served, but reservations are requested as seating is limited. To make your reservation(s), please call Mercy’s Healthcare Connection at 330-489-1333.
