Canton, Ohio: Mercy Medical Center will be offering a Natural Family Planning class series for married or engaged couples beginning on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Subsequent dates for the series will be August 14, 28, September 25 and October 23.
The classes will be held in Conference Room C, which is located in the lower level of the hospital, and it is taught by certified teaching couples. This program is offered in conjunction with and under the guidance of the Office of Marriage and Family Ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown. Natural Family Planning (NFP) is the knowledge and understanding of natural fertility and infertility. It is the acceptance and respect for combined fertility as a couple. NFP can be used to achieve or postpone pregnancy without the use of drugs, devices or chemicals to alter the reproductive systems.
