Mercy is Healthy Ohio Worksite Award Recipient

Canton, Ohio: Mercy Medical Center was one of twelve Ohio hospitals and health systems to earn recognition as a 2012 Healthy Ohio Worksite Award recipient. The awards, presented by the Ohio Department of Health’s Office of Healthy Ohio, acknowledge Ohio employers that demonstrate a commitment to employee health by incorporating comprehensive worksite health promotion and wellness programs. It acknowledges efforts to facilitate and encourage employee health, enhance productivity and ensure a healthy work environment.

“We are thrilled to receive the Healthy Ohio-Health Worksite Bronze Award for the fifth consecutive year,” said Kathy Wise, RD, LD, LWC, director of health and wellness at Mercy Medical Center. “Mercy has demonstrated its commitment to wellness by developing a results-oriented wellness initiative with organizational strategies that will last over time.”
