North Canton, Ohio: Mercy Health & Fitness Center recently earned certification as a medical fitness facility by the Medical Fitness Association – the country’s leading organization dedicated solely to medically integrated outcomes and accountability based fitness facilities. Certification is a significant step forward in the health delivery available for the entire community.
“After an in-depth review of our facility’s adherence to the prescribed standards and guidelines, Mercy became one of only two certified medical fitness facilities in Ohio,” says Eldon Jones, director of Mercy Health & Fitness Center and Mercy Sports Medicine.
“Certification is evidence of Mercy’s commitment to provide quality programs and services to meet the vital role that medical fitness centers perform,” says Thomas E. Cecconi, president and CEO at Mercy Medical Center.
The Medical Fitness Association Facility Certification is recognized as a mark of excellence in the health and wellness industry. “With our healthcare system continuing to be stressed and the incidence of disease on the rise, the need for more medically supervised, outcomes and accountability based delivered fitness was never more relevant in our industry than today,” says Ken Germano, executive director of Medical Fitness Association.
