Mercy Health Center of Jackson will be hosting a community blood drive for Vitalant (formerly LifeShare Community Blood Services) on Friday, July 3, 12 noon to 6 p.m. in the facility’s 2nd floor Community Room. Many blood drives have been cancelled due to COVID-19, so individual donations matter now more than ever.
Vitalant is keeping all blood donors safe by following CDC guidelines and taking extra precautions with temperature checks, social distancing, continuous sanitation and requiring donors to wear masks. ALL blood types are currently needed and all donors receive a COVID-19 antibody test when they donate.
Every donation has the power to save up to three lives so register today. For donor and staff safety and to adhere to social distancing requirements, appointments are preferred and can be made at https://bit.ly/MercyBloodDrive-Jackson.
Donors can also register for this blood drive by contacting Tabitha Searfoss, Donor Recruitment Representative at Vitalant, at 330-489-1076, ext. 2878, 330-313-0325 (cell) or email TSearfoss@vitalant.org.
