Colorectal cancer is the second leading cancer killer in the U.S., but it can be prevented. Only 1 in 3 adults, age 50 and older, are being screened for colorectal cancer.
Mercy Cancer Center invites you to Join the Movement and fight colon cancer by learning more about the signs and symptoms of this disease and following screening guidelines. You can start by visiting a giant inflatable colon onsite at Mercy Medical Center (1320 Mercy Dr., N.W., Canton) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 20, and at Mercy Health Center of Jackson (7337 Caritas Circle, N.W., Massillon) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 21. Experience the colon and learn how screening can save your life. Mercy Cancer Center staff will be available to answer questions, and raffle prizes and giveaways will be available. In the event of inclement weather, the events will be rescheduled for June 3–4.
