CANTON, OHIO – Mercy Medical Center and the Church of the Lakes Faith Community Nurses will sponsor a Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, October 30th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Church of the Lakes, 5944 Fulton Dr. NW, Canton (on the corner of Brunnerdale). Free and open to the community, the Health & Wellness Fair will offer the following screenings to participants:
• Blood Pressure
• Carbon Monoxide
• Pulmonary Function
• Breast Cancer Risk Assessment
• Spinal Exams
• Glucose/Cholesterol (Fasting recommended/minimal charge)
In addition to health screenings, seasonal flu vaccines will be available for $25 and pneumonia vaccinations will be available for $60. Medicare can be billed if members present their Medicare cards. Cash or checks will be accepted for those without Medicare.
Various agencies and health care organizations will be on-site to provide information on diabetes, heart disease, cancer prevention, prescription assistance, living wills and much more. In attendance will be Mercy Medical Center’s Homecare/Hospice/Palliative Care/Telemedicine, Behavioral Health, Cancer Center, Dental Services, Diabetes Educator, Health & Fitness Center, Hyperbaric/Wound Care, Jackson Health Center, Lab Services, Pharmacy and Respiratory Therapy. LifeShare will also be on-site for blood donations.
