The Massillon Rotary Foundation and Mercy Medical Center are partnering to bring free lab and health screenings to the Western Stark County community. On Saturday, December 8, the health fair will take place from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Mercy Health Center of Massillon, 2935 Lincoln Way West in Massillon. This event is open to the communities served by the Massillon Rotary Foundation, including residents of: Massillon, Beach City, Bethlehem Township, Brewster, Canal Fulton, Jackson Township, Navarre, North Lawrence, Perry Township, Richville, Sugar Creek Township, Tuscarawas Township and Wilmot.
The free lab screenings include a complete blood count (CBC), comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP), lipid profile, thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), hemoglobin A1C, prostate-specific antigen (PSA), if applicable, and vitamin D 25-hydroxy. These screenings test for cholesterol, anemia, kidney/liver function, thyroid, prostate, vitamin D and blood glucose and a 12-hour fast is recommended for more accurate results. - Therapy Services (Strength/Balance Screenings & Tours)
- Mercy Dental Services
- Respiratory Therapy (Pulmonary Function Testing)
- Mercy Heart Center (Blood Pressure Checks)
- Mercy Cancer Center
Free Mammograms will also be available from 8 a.m. until 12 noon during this special event. Appointments and a physician’s order are required. To make an appointment for a mammogram, please call 330-489-1493.
