Congratulations to Magnolia resident, Melissa Ruble, RN, Mercy ICU, for being named Mercy Medical Center’s March 2017 Star Performer employee. The Star Performer program is the hospital’s employee recognition and rewards program. Hospital employees, volunteers and staff are nominated each month for demonstrating outstanding performance, being a team player, going “above and beyond”, being creative and innovative and for championing service excellence.
Ruble was nominated for her calm and compassionate presence with a former patient who called Mercy’s ICU in distress. Ruble kept the former patient on the phone until help arrived and she was safely transported to Mercy’s Emergency Department. A shining example of Mercy’s mission in action, she served as a beacon of light and hope during this patient’s darkest hours.
Ruble has been an employee at the hospital since 2015. She was presented with her award by Thomas E. Cecconi, president & CEO of Mercy Medical Center.
