Louisville resident, William “Scottie” Lemonte, Mercy valet services, has recently been chosen as the hospital’s Star Performer employee.
While parking a visitor’s car, Scottie noticed the car had a tire low on air, so he took care of the problem and inflated the tire to avoid any safety issues. When the visitor returned and learned what Scottie had done, she was appreciative of his kindness and concern.
“In the two years that I have known Scottie, he has always shown compassion, understanding and patience with his co-workers and our visitors,” says Lori Stout, manager of Mercy Central Transport, Courier, Van Transport and Valet. “He has a positive attitude and a smile to go with it. He is always going above and beyond to help people.”
Scottie says he truly enjoys serving the many people who come to Mercy. “Patients are treated by caring hospital employees who feel as I do–love for our jobs and love for those we serve. This is the way that our Savior Jesus Christ would have us do. I’m thankful for all that I have been taught here at Mercy.”
The Star Performer program is the hospital’s employee recognition and rewards program. Hospital employees, volunteers and staff are nominated each month for demonstrating outstanding performance, being a team player, going “above and beyond”, being creative and innovative and for championing service excellence. Please click here for media inquiries
