With the help of Jvion’s Cognitive Machine solution, Mercy Medical Center has reduced rates of all-cause readmissions by more that 20 percent. The hospital adopted Jvion’s leading artificial intelligence (AI) as part of a facility-wide plan to enhance and optimize patient care quality and health, as well as lower the incidence of avoidable events.
Paul Hiltz, Mercy’s chief executive officer, said, “Over the last 18 months, we have seen a sustained 20 percent drop in readmission rates. This drop and the improvements in quality that we have realized are attributed to the implementation of Jvion’s Cognitive Machine and the commitment of our staff to continually improve the patient care experience.”
Mercy plans to expand the use of the Cognitive Machine in other areas, from reduction of no-show appointments and avoidable admissions to boosting preventive care for employees.

Jvion delivers healthcare’s only Cognitive Clinical Success Machine. Using Eigen-based technology, the machine does what simple predictive analytics or machine learning models cannot. It goes beyond high-risk patient populations to identify those on a trajectory to becoming high risk. It determines the interventions that will more effectively reduce risk and enable clinical action. And it accelerates time to value by leveraging established Eigen Spheres to drive intelligence across hospitals, populations, and patients. Stop being predictive. Start being cognitive.
