Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital will hold the following free, virtual community education programs during the month of April:
Stroke Awareness: From Prevention to Treatment Options
Friday, April 23, 11 a.m. | via Zoom
This program will discuss warning signs, risk factors, prevention and current treatment options for stroke. Open to the community, this virtual event will feature a presentation in addition to a question and answer session with a Mercy Hospital neurologist and medical director. The neurologist will also offer advice on what to do if you think you or a loved one might be having a stroke.
Safe Driving: Staying ‘Fit’ to Drive
Wed., April 28, Noon | via Zoom
Presented by Julie Dominik, OT/L, CDRS, CDI, occupational therapist, certified driving instructor, and coordinator of Mercy Hospital’s Driver Rehab program, this virtual talk will cover factors that affect our driving, such as medication, medical conditions and age. Participants will also learn how to stay ‘fit’ to drive. Open to the community, this virtual event will feature a presentation as well as a question and answer session with Dominik.
