Canal Fulton resident, Carol Zimbello, of the environmental services department, was named Mercy Medical Center’s Star Performer of the Year for 2015. The Star Performer program is the hospital’s employee recognition and rewards program.
Hospital employees, volunteers and staff are nominated each month for demonstrating outstanding performance, being a team player, going “above and beyond”, being creative and innovative and championing service excellence. Zimbello was chosen as the Star Performer of the Month last November, and was recently selected from the 2015 candidates as the overall Star Performer of the Year.
She was nominated for going far beyond the scope of her job duties to help employees in need. The commitment she shows to the hospital and the caring nature with which she treats her co-workers is a shining example of the mission of Mercy Medical Center. Zimbello also serves the community as a reserve deputy for the Stark County Sheriff’s Office mounted unit. She has been an employee at Mercy since 1982 and was presented with her award by Thomas E. Cecconi, President & CEO, at Mercy Medical Center. Please click here for media inquiries
