Canton, OH – Congratulations to Bolivar resident, Katie Harvey, RN for Mercy Medical Center’s Cardiovascular Surgical Care Unit, for being named Mercy’s Star Performer employee for August 2012. The Star Performer program is the hospital’s employee recognition and rewards program. Hospital employees, volunteers and staff are nominated each month for demonstrating outstanding performance, being a team player, going “above and beyond”, being creative and innovative and championing service excellence.
Harvey is being recognized for going beyond an RN’s duties to make sure her patients’ physical as well as emotional needs are met. She shows true dedication to her patients and is always willing to do whatever is necessary to bring comfort to them and their loved ones. Harvey has been an employee at Mercy Medical Center since 1995 and was presented her award by Mercy President and CEO, Thomas E. Cecconi and Human Resources Manager, Charity Davis.
