Canton, Ohio: Regina Brett, author of God Never Blinks: 50 Life Lessons for Life’s Little Detours and columnist at The Plain Dealer, will be at Mercy Boutique from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Free parking is available at the Mercy Cancer Center/Surgery Center entrance.
When Brett turned 45, she felt grateful to be alive. Two of her aunts died of breast cancer before turning 45. Brett received her breast cancer diagnosis at 41. She began thinking about all life had taught, which poured out of her in a column titled, “45 lessons life taught me.” At 50, she added five more lessons, and The Plain Dealer ran the column again. People across the country and around the world began to forward the lessons and post them on blogs and websites. Brett turned these lessons into a book titled God Never Blinks, 50 Life Lessons for Life’s Little Detours.
