Annual Physicians’ Seminar Focuses on Spirituality

NORTH CANTON, OHIO – The 29th Loyola Physicians’ Seminar will host its annual program for physicians, their spouses, and pastoral care associates, which focuses on patient care and spirituality on Saturday, Jan. 24 at Walsh University’s Barrett Business Center, located at 2020 East Maple St., North Canton. Breakfast and registration begins at 8:15 a.m., and the seminar concludes with a dinner at 6:45 p.m.

Guest speaker Keith F. Muccino, S.J., M.D., assistant dean for education at Loyola University Chicago, Stretch School of Medicine, will discuss themes such as improving the physician-patient relationship, dealing with life transitions, and growing in spiritual freedom in his presentation titled “New and Everlasting Covenant.” A practicing internist and medical educator, Fr. Muccino’s love for retreat work has been a lifelong passion. He directs retreats for parish and professional groups, who are seeking to connect God to the busy pace and challenges that are a part of every day contemporary life.
