Mercy Medical Center recently hosted its annual appreciation dinner for local emergency medical squads (EMS). More than 300 were in attendance for the event.  The guest speaker was Christopher Colwell, MD, a Denver, Colorado-based emergency physician and part of the first responder team at both Columbine High School (1999) and the Colorado theater shootings (2012).
