As part of the observance of Lent—a time of year when Christians are called to prayer, fasting, and almsgiving—Mercy Medical Center employees collected new towels, undergarments, and socks over the past month for the Salvation Army Canton Citadel Corps’ hot shower program for the area’s homeless.
