We’re three months out from the big day – the Canton Marathon – or whatever race distance you have hopefully chosen. It will be a great event, so hopefully your training is moving you in the right direction for that end goal.
To get ready for this race, or any race for that matter, you need to “tune-up” the body. Being on your feet for multiple hours is more than a cardio event. You need help from your supporting cast (a.k.a…legs,hips, core). I have heard it stated that you need a strong chassis to support a big engine, so don’t neglect the strength training portion of your training.
To help you in that cause, mark your calendars for this Tuesday night, March 20 at 6 p.m. to come to the Mercy Sports Medicine Center in North Canton to hear how you can prepare your hips and core for your runs.
See you there!
