Attention hospital visitors:
Mercy Temporarily Stops ALL Hospital Visitation (Effective November 12th)
The ongoing safety of patients, caregivers and our communities remains our top priority. These steps are intended to keep our caregivers and patients as safe as possible while also recognizing the value visitors bring to patients.
Effective Thursday, November 12,Mercy is temporarily stopping all hospital visitation until further notice.
Mercy Medical Center is still allowing one support person for our maternity patients. That one support person must be the same person throughout the stay. Support person can come and go as needed but cannot be switched. (Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis, such as end of life/critical patient situations).
For Mercy STATCAREs, physician practices, and outpatient locations, patients are asked to come to appointments alone.
Medical Center recognizes that interacting with family and friends can be helpful to the healing process and strongly encourages everyone to utilize other forms of support for their loved ones, such as phone calls and video chats on cell phones or other mobile devices. (Revised November 11, 2020)
