The staff at Mercy Health & Fitness Center specialize in medically based fitness. With degrees and advanced certification, the fitness specialists are experienced in working with members with diabetes and often monitor blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
Designed to assist individuals after a documented history of heart disease, Mercy Health & Fitness Center offers phase III and IV of the cardiac rehabilitation program. Phase III is a maintenance program, which provides supervision for individuals recovering from heart disease. A nurse is available during certain hours. Phase IV is an advanced maintenance program for individuals who can transition to a more independent format.
A specialized exercise program can help those recovering from cancer overcome fatigue, nausea, weight gain, anxiety and depression while regaining strength and flexibility.
Individuals work one-on-one with a personal trainer to design a safe, effective and efficient exercise program.
