Nutritional Issues in Heart Failure Patients and the Aging Population

Mercy Homecare, with the support of CarePoint Partners LLC, will host a continuing medical education program on Thursday, February 17 at 7:30 a.m. and 12 noon, entitled, “Nutritional Issues in Heart Failure Patients and the Aging Population”. The presentation will be made by Marianne Duda, MS, RD, LD, CNSD, Nutritional Support Program Director of CarePoint Partners, LLC.

With more than 20 years of experience in nutrition, Duda received her bachelor’s degree in dietetics & nutrition from the University of Cincinnati, and her master’s degree in human nutrition from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She is a Certified Nutrition Support Dietician and is registered with the American Dietetic Association.

This presentation will identify issues that lead to malnutrition in the eldery and will discuss both the nutritional status and the nutritional requirements of the heart failure patient. This CME activity is FREE and is open to all interested physicians, nurses, healthcare professionals and interested community members, but reservations are requested. Refreshments will be served.
