Canton is the county seat of Stark County. The City’s location in Stark County is approximately 58 miles southeast of Cleveland, 20 miles south of Akron and 94 miles west of Pittsburgh, Pa.

The Canton Parks Department maintains 60 parks, which total nearly 800 acres of public parkland.
