Catheter-free heartburn and gerd testing
The Bravo™ system, a pH capsule about the size of a gel cap, is endoscopically attached to the wall of the esophagus. The device:
- Measures pH levels for up to 48 hours in the esophagus and transmits the information to a receiver worn on a belt or waistband.
- Passes through the digestive tract within five to seven days.
- Provides a quick, accurate analysis.
The Bravo™ pH Monitoring System, the first catheter-free device that can help diagnose heartburn and GERD, is now available at Mercy. Bravo allows patients to maintain their regular diet and activities without the discomfort associated with traditional pH catheter systems.
