Mercy Giving Tree

Each year, there are patients at Mercy Medical Center who have to spend their holidays in the hospital. Mercy Fund Development asked Mercy employees to help spread a little Christmas cheer with the start of a new holiday tradition – the Mercy Giving Tree. Mercy employees and volunteers donated gifts for men, women and children of all ages, and volunteers wrapped each gift and delivered presents to every patient on Christmas Eve – 189 gifts in all.

Mercy patient Robert Griffin had just shared with his nurse Jasmine Hayes, R.N. (pictured center) that he was hoping to receive a gift when volunteer Beatrice Bickel (pictured left) entered his patient room with a beautifully wrapped present from Mercy Giving Tree.
