Mercy Sponsors October Career Advising Expo
Hospital Joins Coming Together Stark County, Greater Stark County Urban League in Providing Career Assistance for Minorities

Canton, Ohio: Mercy Medical Center, Coming Together Stark County and the Greater Stark County Urban League will sponsor the Career Advising Expo on Sat., Oct. 11, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Southeast Community Center ("Peel" Coleman Center), 1400 Sherrick Rd. S.E. in Canton.

The event is free and open to the public, and no reservations are required. Light refreshments will be served.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, a division of the U.S. Department of Labor, seven of the 10 fastest-growing U.S. jobs through 2014 will be in health care. Of the top 30 fastest growing jobs, 17 are health care related.

Health care careers include a wide range of choices to suit all ages, interests, lifestyles and education levels. Expo visitors will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with representatives from many health care fields.
