Mercy Offers AAA Mature Drivers Class and AAA CarFit

Canton, Ohio: Mercy Medical Center’s Driver Rehabilitation Program is offering AAA Mature Drivers Class and AAA CarFit to help driver’s compensate for physical changes and drive defensively in today’s busy environment.

AAA Mature Drivers Class It’s easy to take your ability to drive for granted, especially if you’ve been in the driver’s seat for years. But as you get older, the physical changes you undergo can make driving a challenge. Stiff joints, vision and hearing changes, slower reflexes and medications may affect your driving ability. AAA Mature Drivers Class will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 8 and Thursday, April 9 in Mercy Hall Auditorium. The class is $20, and some insurance companies offer discounts to members who complete the course. Lunch is included.

AAA CarFit – Helping drivers find their perfect fit Find out how the “fit” of your vehicle affects your driving and adapt your vehicle to your changing needs. Trained professionals will complete a 12-point CarFit checklist and offer suggestions to help drivers become more comfortable and in control in their vehicles. AAA CarFit will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 25 in Mercy Medical Center’s parking lot. CarFit assessments are free and take approximately 20 minutes per vehicle. Be one of the first to register for CarFit, and you’ll receive a $5 gas card.

Pre-registration is required. For more information or to register, call Mercy’s Healthcare Connection at 330-489-1333 or 800-223-8662.
