Mercy Offers Balance Screening
Tuscarawas County, Ohio: Did you know that more than one third of adults 65 and older fall each year in the United States? These falls are the leading cause of injury deaths in older adults and are the most common cause of nonfatal injuries and hospital admissions for trauma. Are you concerned that you, or a loved one, might be at risk for falls and injuries? Mercy Health Center of Tuscarawas County will be holding a FREE Balance Screening on Tuesday, May 11th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Scheduled by appointment only, these screenings will be conducted by Mercy fitness specialists, physical therapists and physical therapist assistants. Screenings include blood pressure checks, oxygen saturation levels, pulse, grip strength testing, balance testing and strength testing.
