Mercy Medical Center and Rotary Club of Canton Invite Community to Health Screen & Wellness Fair March 1st
Mercy Medical Center and the Rotary Club of Canton have partnered to bring very low-cost health screenings to the Canton area community. On Saturday, March 1st, the Health Screen & Wellness Fair will take place from 7:00am to 1:00pm at McKinley High School, 2323 17th St. NW in Canton.
For just $40, community members can purchase a Basic Panel of blood screenings, which include: CBC with differential, CMP, lipid profile, GGT, phosphorous and total iron. This Basic Panel tests for cholesterol, anemia and kidney/liver function. In addition to the $40 Basic Panel, several optional screenings will also be offered, including:
• Thyroid $7
• A1C Hemoglobin $15
• PSA $15
• Colo-rectal kit $6
• Vitamin D 1.25 $48
A 12-hour fast is recommended for more accurate results. To register in advance, please call Mercy Medical Center at 330-489-1333 or 1-800-223-8662 between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30 pm. Or, register online 24-hours a day, 7 days a week by visiting www.cantonrotary.org. Although registration is preferred, walk-ins appointments are also welcome. Rotary Club of Canton will accept cash, check and credit card (VISA and MASTERCARD) for the above screenings.
In addition to the blood screenings, Mercy Medical Center is offering a FREE Wellness Fair with numerous booths offering additional FREE screenings and important health information on topics such as heart disease, stroke, weight management, smoking cessation, cancer, bone density, sleep disorders, pulmonary function and more. This Health Screen & Wellness Fair is being held in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Canton’s Annual Pancake Breakfast. Participants are invited to stay after their blood work to enjoy a complimentary pancake breakfast.
