Canton, Ohio: As part of the hospital’s ongoing green efforts, Mercy Medical Center will again offer a free Medication Take Back Day on Saturday, October 26, 2013, from 10 am to 2 pm on its main campus.

Residents of Stark and surrounding counties can bring any unwanted, unused and expired prescriptions and over-the-counter medications to this Take Back event. All medications will be accepted with no questions asked. No ID is required.

This anonymous program is a collaborative effort between Mercy, the Stark County Sheriff’s Office, Canton City Police Department and the US Drug Enforcement Agency. All medications will be destroyed in a manner that safeguards the environment.
