Go to www.medicare.gov or schedule an appointment with the Mercy Senior Friends Office at 330-489-1215.You have 25 Medicare Advantage Plans with drug coverage to choose from in 2013.Every year, it is your responsibility to review and choose your health and drug coverage. Fill in the graph below with your top Medicare Advantage Plan choices to compare details side by side. There are 7 Medicare Advantage Plans that have a ZERO premium and the average Hospital stay is 3 days. There is no right or wrong plan, choose the plan that is the best for you for this year.

Health Maintenance Organization (HMO)

In most HMOs, you can only go to doctors, specialists, or hospitals on the plans list except in an emergency.

Preferred Provider Organization (PPO)

A type of Medicare Advantage Plan available in a local or regional area in which you pay less if you use doctors, hospitals, and providers that belong to the network. You can use doctors, hospitals, and providers outside of the network for an additional cost.

Point of Service (POS)

An HMO option that lets you use doctors and hospitals outside the plan for an additional cost.

Private Fee-for-Service Plan (PFFS)

A type of Medicare Advantage Plan in which you may go to any Medicare-approved doctor or hospital that agrees to treat you under the plan and that accepts the plans payment terms. The plan decides how much you must pay for services.

You pay Medicare Medical Part B - Automatically deducted from your Social Security check. Please insert the amount you pay each month. (Most people pay $104.90 each month)
