Who's New at Mercy?

Mercy Health & Fitness Center

More than 60 percent of Americans would qualify as couch potatoes when it comes to getting enough exercise. You don't have to be a fitness fanatic to achieve some of the health benefits of structured physical activity.

Mercy Medical Center's Health & Fitness Center extends the benefits of physical fitness to non-traditional exercisers, including people with obesity, diabetes, heart disease, pulmonary disease and other chronic conditions. An experienced staff of exercise physiologists also offer personal training, sport enhancement training, fitness classes and community wellness programs.

Located in Mercy Health Center of North Canton, the fitness center offers cardiovascular and resistive strength training equipment including Cybex selectorized machines, free weights, treadmills, stair climbers, stationary and recumbent bikes, and rowing and upper body ergometers.

Mercy Health & Fitness Center offers Cybex Trazer, which measures reaction time, acceleration, speed, power and balance in real time while participant's activities are mirrored on the screen. Not only is Cybex Trazer helping local athletes, but the equipment is also used to rehabilitate orthopedic injuries.
