A six-week weight management program for individuals desiring highly personalized service and attention. Clients receive their own personal trainer for three, twenty-minute workouts per week using a specific and researched training technique. Clients also receive a customized meal plan program with weekly shopping lists and a daily breakdown of meals and snacks. A complete body profile assessment and results reports are also included.
Designed to assist individuals after a documented history of heart disease, Mercy Health & Fitness Center offers phase III and IV of the cardiac rehabilitation program. Phase III is a maintenance program, which provides supervision for individuals recovering from heart disease. A nurse is available during certain hours. Phase IV is an advanced maintenance program for individuals who can transition to a more independent format.
The staff at Mercy Health & Fitness Center specialize in medically based fitness. With degrees and advanced certification, the fitness specialists are experienced in working with members with diabetes and often monitor blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
A specialized exercise program can help those recovering from cancer overcome fatigue, nausea, weight gain, anxiety and depression while regaining strength and flexibility.
SilverSneakers® Helps Older Adults Get Physically Fit
Members of select AARP and Aetna Advantage Plans can now join Anthem and Humana enrollees in taking advantage of the SilverSneakers® Fitness Program at Mercy Health & Fitness Center. At no cost, eligible seniors can take advantage of the center's equipment and classes to increase their strength, range of motion, balance and agility.
The SilverSneakers® Fitness Program is a proven, results-oriented program that enables older adults, often burdened with chronic conditions, to take charge of their health and maintain an active, independent lifestyle. Move to music using hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, exercise balls for resistance and a chair for seated or standing support, while improving strength, flexibility, balance and endurance.
In addition to a variety of wellness programs tailored for those age 55 and older, the health center with its trained staff of nurses and exercise physiologists provides peace of mind and a safe workout environment for seniors.

You can work one-on-one with an experienced exercise physiologist to design a custom workout program. Sessions are scheduled at the participant’s convenience during the fitness center’s open hours.
Chief Richard J. Certified health fitness trainers from Mercy's Health & Fitness Center have worked with Nimishillen Township firefighters since 2004 helping them improve their overall wellness and prepare for the challenge.
Specialized strength and conditioning fitness program designed to enhance your skills for a specific sport or activity. Degreed and experienced exercise physiologists offer one-on-one or group training for youth – ages 10 and up – to adults.
Titleist Performance Institute (TPI)
Golf fitness program is based on an accumulation of research and findings. Mercy’s TPI incorporates a golf fitness screening, video swing analysis, education and workout program.
Mercy Health & Fitness Center steps into the interactive virtual world of the newest fitness/therapy equipment with Cybex Trazer. This new machine measures reaction time, acceleration, speed, power and balance in real time while the participant's activities are mirrored on the screen. Cybex Trazer helping local athletes improve their game. It’s also used to help rehabilitate orthopedic injuries.
Fitness for Two
Designed especially for new mothers and mothers-to-be, fitness center staff design a program to help mothers stay healthy during pregnancy and get back to their pre-pregnancy weight after birth.
