Mercy Dental Services
Oral health can influence your overall health. Recent studies show that a connection exists between gum disease (periodontitis) and certain serious health conditions, including stroke, diabetes, and heart disease.
Brushing, flossing and eating a balanced diet are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile. In addition, regular dental visits are needed to prevent or treat early stages of tooth decay and gum disease, which often go undetected in the absence of pain.
Comprehensive Dental Care
At Mercy Dental Services, we provide a broad range of preventive, cosmetic and restorative dental services for the whole family. Our multi-specialty dental group – conveniently located on the second floor of the Mercy Surgery Center – offers exceptional, affordable care. And, our state-of-the-art facility is designed with your comfort in mind.
Improved Care for Wheelchair Patients
Thanks to a generous gift from the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Canton, Mercy Dental Services purchased the diaco® dental chair, a fully mobile unit designed specifically for wheelchair patients. With the new lift, a patient remains comfortably in her personal wheelchair, eliminating all manual handling, lifting and hoisting for a safer and more dignified experience.
Our Dental Services Include:
- Routine preventive care
- Pediatric dentistry, sealants
- Root canals and extractions
- Crowns and bridges
- Veneers and whitening
- Implants
- Implant supported dentures
- Complete dentures, partial dentures
- Emergency dental care
- Pre-surgery dental screenings
In addition, we can perform several dental procedures at one time, eliminating the need for multiple appointments.
Capable Doctors & Specialists

Mercy Dental Services is staffed by qualified general dentists and specialists, including many who are part of the hospital's post-doctoral dental residency training program. The residency program helps prepare dentists to provide comprehensive oral health care to all types of patients, with an emphasis on those with complex medical conditions.
Committed To Compassionate Care
Accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA), Mercy Dental Services is committed to the hospital's century-long mission of providing quality, compassionate, accessible and affordable care for the whole person.
According to a recent report from the Ohio Department of Health, dental care remains the state's number one unmet health care need for children and low-income adults.

Established in 2007, our dental center cares for patients from Stark, Wayne, Tuscarawas, Carroll & Holmes Counties.
