Mercy Holds Dental, Diabetes Outreach Programs in Northeast Canton

As part of our Mission Outreach efforts in northeast Canton, Mercy recently held education programs at Mercy at St. Paul Square and Imagine School.

Mercy Dental Services presented their popular dental health assembly to Imagine School last month, showing 145 students in grades k-4 how to properly care for their teeth. Jamie Darr, DDS, and Anthony Johnson, DDS led the assembly.

Twice-retired Bank VP Calls Volunteering for Mercy Foundation the 'Right Fit'

Richard (Dick) Croasdaile Jr. has always enjoyed an active life. After his second retirement last year, he soon joined the Mercy Development Foundation as a board member and regular volunteer.

Mercy ER Nurses Saved Lives on Ohio Highways

Emergency situations are not unfamiliar to Brittney Johnson and Lyndley Corley. That’s because Brittney is a registered nurse in Mercy Emergency Department (ED) and Lyndley is a registered nurse, and ED coordinator for Case Management. But in 2014, both women’s emergency medicine skills were needed beyond the hospital.

Meet Jackie Betz, a Mercy volunteer for more than a year. She has accumulated 380 service hours most recently as part of her concourse transport and human resources assignments. Previous volunteer time was spent performing clerical tasks for Mercy Professional Care Physicians and Mercy Medical Affairs.

Cardiac Nurse, Heart Attack Survivor: 'It Permeated the Entire Family Dynamic'

On September 16, 2012, David survived a heart attack. He was only 47 years old at the time.

“That heart attack didn’t just affect me,” he says. “It permeated every aspect of the dynamics between me and my family. It still impacts our lives today.”

Hearing-impaired Employee Says Favorite Sound Is Hearing the Word 'Daddy'

Currently a student in the Culinary Education program at Stark State College, Maurice’s goal is to become a cook. Maurice is also hearing impaired.
